Our Mission
The mission of Women Overcoming Obstacles Together (WOOT) is to empower minority mothers and caregivers of children on the Autism Spectrum by providing access to and guidance through the resources they need to ensure success in life and education for their families.
Vision
Our vision is to host summits, participate in autism awareness events, offer self-care gatherings, and provide judgment-free support and resources that empower mothers.
We aim to:

Increase school readiness for children with autism,

Increase awareness of support services,

Increase self-care for minority mothers/caregivers of children with autism,

Decrease burnout among minority mothers/caregivers of children with autism, and

Ensure minority mothers/caregivers and their children with autism have the tools to live thriving lives that add to their communities.
Through these efforts, we strive to create a world where every family has the opportunity to succeed and contribute to their communities.
